Eskenazi Health received a grant to test patients coming into the ER for HIV.
Problem: Nurses, clinicians, educators, testers, and members of the Clinical Public Health Program had to adopt new universal testing routines, learn about opt-out language, provide education, and assist infected patients in assessing treatment options. Since the emergency department is open 24 hours a day, having them attend one training session together was not feasible.
Solution: The CPHP program manager contacted us about options for training their staff. We talked about their needs and their resources and found out that they have an internal LMS that can be used to host a module that staff in the emergency room can take on their own time.
Here's a quick video of the 30-45 minute module. They requested no voiceover since the program details might change, and they want to be able to easily edit the module as needed.
