Empowerment is a program teaching young men about healthy masculinity. Most of the programming occurred on college campuses and in the process of extending it to juvenile justice centers.

We talked about ideas about masculinity, and we chose the mountain because men were thought to be strong and immovable, but in reality, they are eroded by water and damaged by earthquakes and landslides can affect their structure and stability. The sun and the bird are symbols of hope and freedom. But after feedback from a stakeholder that, "This is not some kind of walk in the woods manly thing," we went back and shifted our thinking to emphasize more of the "power" part of the program since it was about empowering young men.

The long version of the logo and the first listed above were chosen for the official logos of the project.

I created this one-page evaluation summary for the stakeholders. As shown in the feedback, this training was very effective, and negotiations are being made to expand the program to different groups at Hanover College and bring it to other college campuses.
